Capicua (Palindrome)

From 16 to 18 June 2023

The dates, submissions and fulfilment of all protocols to be assessed by a jury and complete a degree have arrived. This has little to do with the artistic act.
A piece without a place, a piece without an audience and, in some cases, a piece without evidence. The end of work time remains inconclusive, for it remains severed from the encounter.

Capicua by Cerda Amarillo (a collective name that emerged during the work process) calls for collectivity, here and now, now and here. So we have therefore occupied several spaces that were part of the former Massana art school. For in order to inhabit the present, one needs to look back and from there make a leap into the future of at least 500 years. The works that are being presented have been divided into three stages: memory, the present and the speculative.

We would like to celebrate the fact that final degree projects have found their own place and can ceremoniously meet the audience. Thanks to all of you for your commitment and to La Capella for making it all possible.

You have to register (with your full name) in this Excel if you want to visit the exhibition we are staging at La Capella! You will be accommodated in shifts because it will be a show in a non-exhibition space <3:
