TV is over. A new world of audiovisual communication begins where there is room for micro-TVs, TVwebs. TVblogs, community TVs and newsletters. Of course, the site will have to win the media giant who would like to become the owner of everything. "HoritzóTV" is an exhibition that presents, through events and projections, a dynamic and fragmented landscape of what can be the new television communications. Community TVs made in the neighborhoods of Buenos Aires and Chile, artistic experiments on European telestheses, television made in the refugee camps, and a review of the relationships between art and television in Catalonia and Spain make up this shows Apart from the exhibition, we will have the speeches of those responsible for various television stations in the world, including Catia TV to document the new community television project in Venezuela, La Galponera TV in Buenos Aires, Señal3 La Victoria in Chile and, of course, independent television channels of all the state geography. The meeting, which will take place one week after the opening, from January 29 to February 3, includes the participation of sociologists, journalists, activists and artists of alternative television such as Franco Berardi "Bifo", by Orfeo TV de Bologna, Raoul Marroquin of Hoeksteen TV of Amsterdam, the VJ of cinema Prince Joe of Uganda or NeokinokTV of Barcelona. There will also be the theoreticians of community communication in the world such as Michael Aldridge from South Africa and the Catia TV team in Venezuela, as well as representatives of community audiovisual communication projects in Catalonia and Spain. "HoritzóTV" also includes HRTZTV, a television set on the Internet that will be broadcast throughout the month of February. This television, carried out in collaboration with the contemporary creation center Hangar de Barcelona, will broadcast live, on the afternoons of Tuesday through Saturday, news, interviews, talks, proposals, videos and materials of the invited groups and of all local social agents . All the collectives are invited to participate in this alternative television, following the slogans that encourage you to stop watching TV to go through it. In addition to Hangar, other institutions in the city have joined the project: the Mediateca of Caixaforum proposes various art and television materials and a monograph on the work of the pioneer of television creation Jaime Davidovich. The MX space 1010 gallery presents Dora García's Splitscreen television show, made in residence at Nau Côclea de Camallera and broadcast on the local television of the Empordà Canal Nord. In March, the Faculty of Communication of the URL organizes a cycle of conferences. The TV we do not take, we prune it. It's time to stop watching TV to move on.
