Presentation of ¿pasarás a despedirte? (will you drop by to say goodbye?) by Belén Soto, a book published by Blatt & Ríos that developed within the framework of the BCN Producció Publication grant (2023-2024) obtained by her x k soy triste (y am i sad?) project.

¿pasarás a despedirte? uses a long poem – or a series of stories told through forms known as “poetry” – to explore contradictions and ruminations belonging to a time of fear in which everything seems to be falling apart. In short, it is about desire, pleasure and rejection, about play, about death, about queers and dykes and our pasts and the worlds we imagine, about attention and curiosity, about subverting the intimate and the public, about a counter-authoritarian appropriation of prayer and the problem, about humour, about continually seeking the light, about being critical and committed to life, which is to people.

The presentation will involve a conversation between the author and the book’s editor, Paula Pérez-Roda, with Ricardo Pérez-Hita acting as reader.
