The City - Urban Maps
The city is a living concept, in constant evolution and transformation, where a wide range of disciplines come together. In this framework, and under the name "The City - Urban Maps", ELISAVA School of Design, turns La Capella into a space for work, research and multidisciplinary debate aimed at students of masters and postgraduates at the school like the general public.
The workshop will address the motto "The City - Urban Maps" from two specific lines of research: the documented city and the city as a text. These lines will be the backbone of the various activities that will take place in the five spaces in which La Capella will be organized during the event:
Space Workshop: ELISAVA master's and postgraduate students will work on a specific project that will link the concept of the exhibition with the areas of communication, multimedia interaction and public space.
Debate Space: programming of debate sessions open to the public about the subject of the exhibition. These sessions will be given by renowned speakers in the professional and university fields.
Exhibition space: the results obtained in the Espai Taller as well as a selection of projects developed by ELISAVA students during the 2004-05 academic year will be presented.
Event space: the public presentation, before a jury, of the works developed in the workshop, as well as the closing ceremony of this one will be developed.
