El futur no espera

From November 12, 2014 to January 31, 2015. Curatorial project. BCN Producció'14

When considering the future, it is difficult to envisage an alternative to what exists that does stray into a utopia. Myriad socio-historical factors directly influence an imaginary of the future in which art too has a part to play. However, to ask art to imagine a better future means overturning that utopia which it is so difficult to go beyond. El futur no espera (The Future Won’t Wait) is an exhibition that explores the various mechanisms used by art to consider a range of manifestations of the future in a series of projects capable of producing it by thinking of it in the past tense.
