Generación 2007

Obra Social C presents the exhibition of the works selected in Generation 2007. Prizes and Scholarships of Art C. The exhibition, of multidisciplinary nature, offers an overview of the artistic creation of our country. Through the awarding of Prizes and Scholarships for projects, the work of young creators is promoted, and is disseminated through exhibitions, catalogs and the Internet. The works that are exhibited show concerns, both aesthetic and social, that move artists and are a reflection of the problems of our time. Painting, photography, sculpture, video and installations are the means used to reflect on the world where we live. The selection of works has been carried out by two juries composed of professionals from the world of art, one for the Prizes and one for the Grants. Thirty-two works selected from the more than one thousand present in the call. Twenty-five in the modality of Prizes and seven in the one of Scholarships. Award-winning artists are Nico Baixàs, María Jesús González / Patricia Gómez, Juan Carlos Martínez Jiménez, Florence P. Marano, Marta Petit, Elvira Poxon and Anna Sala. His projects will be presented at ARCO'08.
