Immersive Paper Mirror Workshop
Two days before her Otro paisaje en crisis (Another Landscape in Crisis) exhibition at Homesession, the artist Tinta Fina brings us this workshop in which we will be exploring the infinite possibilities of graphic narration. Working together, we will build a ‘hall of mirrors’ using paper and drawings in which participants will portray themselves based on their own opinions and ideas. To achieve this, we will start by learning various strategies and techniques for turning specific experiences into interlinking scenes in the language of the graphic narrative. Ultimately, we will be creating an immersive environment of drawn images and dazzling cellulose, of landscapes and of changing forms that we will then play with performatively, posing and taking selfies in the manner of a fun museum.
You don’t need to know how to draw to draw!
Nuria Inés (Tinta Fina) works in the realms of the graphic story and the expanded comic as communication and knowledge-generation tools. In her projects, she considers the personal and life stories of others, seeking opportunities in the narration of their experiences to transcribe critical readings of the everyday contexts she has a direct connection with.
