Ultramarinos
lacasadelcactus is a project based on an idea and a form of integral artistic work, which are the result of the contribution of research and individual creations of a varied group of artists, with common intentions and / or affinities. It is the concept developed in the last five years in the art show lacasadelcactus, made in an old house in the village of Ses Salines (Mallorca) and now made known in Barcelona.
It aims to create "bridges between worlds and time", connect the oldest with the most modern, unite the closest to the most distant, interactive an elementary artistic gesture with the complexity of technology.
A symbolic, "walkable" and "electronic" connection between La Capella and Espai Mallorca will materialize, with a series of multidisciplinary activities, such as installations, painting, sculpture, performances, dance, phonetic poetry and collaborations of artists with multimedia interventions, made from various sites through the Internet.
From 6 to 24 September lacasadelcactus is presented at La Capella and Espai Mallorca, with a series of activities such as exhibitions, performances and multimedia interventions. In addition, it participates in the Festes de la Mercè with a dance festival in the gardens of the Antic Hospital de la Santa Creu and, finally, celebrate the third anniversary of Espai Mallorca and close the activities.
