Dynamic tracking
In the Sala Petita, Julia Montilla presented the video Dynamic Tracking. In an immaculately white space, of ancient and enveloping light, a young girl sits on a white chair. As though it were a dream, little by little the character is revealed, animated by the objects in the room, which copy the body of the girl with organic behaviour: a balloon breathes with human cadence, the sofa suffers blue secretions and a liquid drips to the rhythm of the protagonist's blinks. The montage of the images with their close-ups and foreshortenings, and a sound that accompanies the scenes with the same organic rhythm of the events create the tempo of suspense of a psychological thriller, in which the body is an expanded entity that contaminates its surroundings and constructs the narration. Dynamic tracking explains to us this body relation, almost animist with the domestic surroundings, which we cover with our subjectivity, our fears, pains and pleasures while we wonder about the phenomenology of what is real.
