“Instadeath” is the act of dying instantly, regardless of the life armour or points that you possess at the time of impact. The last click before disappearing from Instagram without a trace. “Instadeath” is a type of euthanasia. A collective ceremony that embodies the complicated decision of leaving, of wanting to belong.

Directed by Daniel Moreno Roldán and Roc Herms, the ritual is aimed at anyone who has conflicts in their relationship with Instagram and who believes they are unable to end this relationship although they may wish to do so. We will consider our online presence during the course of the session and will recall moments lived, as well as conducting therapy in an attempt to strongly and decisively confront this process of disconnection.

An activity organized within the framework of the exhibition project Esdevenir immortal i després morir (Become Immortal and Then Die), curated by Caterina Almirall at La Capella as part of the Barcelona Producció 2019-2020 program, in collaboration with Hangar, Centre de Producció i Recerca d'Arts Visuals.
