Presentation of the book El que no és un arbre by Max Azemar at the JA bookshop

The first chapter of botanical guides about trees often includes an attempt to define what a tree is, a task that ought to be entrusted to philosophers according to the biologist Francis Hallé. Using a publication in the form of a portable slide presentation, Azemar presents research into arboreal metaphors and puts forward arguments as to why most are obsolete.

JA bookshop is very pleased to host the presentation of the book El que no és un arbre by Max Azemar, published within the framework of Art Jove Creació 2022 (Sala d’Art Jove) and in collaboration with the Centre d’Art La Panera in Lleida.

The presentation will be held at 7 pm on Friday 26 May in the Jardins Rubió i Lluch, the gardens outside La Capella.
