Nyamnyam: talk about production and distribution of publications

Nyamnyam visits La Capella to share their extensive and diverse publishing background and the projects they are working on at the moment, regarding publication production and distribution.

This is an activity organized by JA Llibreria, one of La Capella's Schools of Context, and is open to anyone, so we look forward to seeing you there!

Ariadna Rodriguez and Iñaki Alvarez are Nyamnyam. Uniting their formations and deformations in various disciplines, their work aims to promote the creation, diffraction, exchange of knowledge through interaction strategies in each (g)local context in which they work. At this crossroads between performing arts, visual arts, critical thinking and pedagogies, nyamnyam's work moves between the creation of projects and curation understood as a transdisciplinary space of relationship and disruption; thus, organisms (human and non-human), systems, environments and contexts interact, clashing with the standardized view of the commodification of culture. They have developed their practices in diverse contexts and geographies; after eight years of activity in their space in Barcelona, in 2020 they opened the doors of the Espai nyamnyam in the micro-town of Mieres (Girona), a context focused on contemporary artistic practice, in the orbit of decline.
