Caca banal (Banal Poop)
Caca banal (Banal Poop)
Caca banal is a project that aims to examine how certain banal content on social media is used as a tool for organisation and social activism. From here, the aim is to reflect on whether a cynical attitude online can serve as a ‘hack’ to break through the logics of platform capitalism and, if possible, reveal a few of the contradictions and problems that arise from it.
Finally, the project aims to approach the language of shitposting (widely used by right-wing extremist movements) in order to contrast it with the codes of contemporary art and to vindicate it from the perspective of social activism and cooperativism.
