Public program: An oral history. 30 years of La Capella

On January 26, 1994, the first exhibition of the La cambra daurada was inaugurated, curated by Manel Clot. With this exhibition began the trajectory of La Capella as a space for emerging creation. So, this year marks thirty years of activity in this artistic field. Since then, La Capella has been the space that the Institut de Cultura has dedicated to the promotion and dissemination of contemporary artistic practices generated by emerging and consolidating sectors in Barcelona. We think it's a significant enough number to value. It is in this context that the debate reflect on an oral history of La Capella and its role in the visual arts scene in Barcelona.
