SYNOPSIS. Art Nou 2018 group exhibition

SYNOPSIS is an essay in the form of an exhibition that showcases the artistic projects of the 16 galleries that are part of Art Nou. Whereas an exercise to sum up in a synopsis is normally an encapsulation of a period of time prior to the consumption of particular contents, the logic of this initial expectation is applied in this instance to a time to come, one that connects and culminates with the Art Nou Prize awarded each year.
The concentration of the projects in La Capella makes this exhibition a meeting place and is intended to fulfil two purposes: firstly, to offer a summary of the Art Nou works, artists and exhibitions, while forging a link between them; and secondly, to reinforce the contents by means of a series of activities focused on the connections between emerging art and the art market.
Consequently, SYNOPSIS. Conversations serves as a programme of informal chats between artists and gallerists which, while providing a forum for the chief protagonists, aims to explore in depth the possible areas of action that currently define emerging art in galleries in Barcelona.

CONVERSES SINOPSI
Converses Sinopsi (Synopsis. Conversations) is a programme of regular meetings between artists and gallerists linked to Art Nou 2018. Throughout the month of October, it is providing them with a forum to analyse and think out loud about the relationships between the art market and emerging art in Barcelona.
