Visit to the Gabinet Salvador with Agustín Ortiz Herrera + conversation with the philosopher and independent curator Laura Benítez
The Gabinet Salvador is an interesting example of a cabinet of curiosities, started at the dawn of the seventeenth century, and that has survived to this day in an excellent state of preservation. The cabinet and its library have been central to Agustín Ortiz Herrera’s artistic research. He is inviting us now to visit the place and accompany him in a brief presentation about his project. The artist proposes an on-site activity in which he will talk about the cabinet and the discoveries found in it, but also about the publication resulting from the process in which he has collaborated with other artists and scientists such as Freyja Palau, Pepe Pardo, Francisca Trobok, Carlos Tabernero and Gabriel Virgilio Luciani. The visit will be complemented by a conversation between the artist and the philosopher and independent curator Laura Benítez.
Limited capacity. Prior registration is required at: lacapella@bcn.cat
